Why NU-WOP?
To expose all to positive information about the importance of staying alive and free, education, and workforce participation and future economic opportunities. To influence the manner in which both urban youth and Hip-Hop culture are viewed by society.
The Movement was created to promote the importance of education and workforce development among inner city youth through the positive power of Hip-Hop using NuWop while connecting youth to the myriad of programs and services that they desperately need.
What Has The Ntelek Movement Done so far?
The Ntelek Movement since 2003 A.D has independently created a series of mix Cd's as a means to raise funds for the support and aid of several independent bookstores and has made contributions to Attorney fee's for Political Prisoners. The Ntelek Movement has extended it's crew membership and has attended seminars and rallies lecturing and educating those in attendance on the injustices against the youth aswell as honroable leaders. Nu-Wop Soldiers have also appeared on Local and Worldwide radio stations in the exposure of the injustices against Dr.Malachi Z.York TM.

What Do We Need to Ensure the Success of Nu-Wop?
1) We need artists and celebrities to speak on the importance of education, knowledge of self, work, violence and drug prevention, responsible parenthood, sexual and personal responsibility, and political participation.
2) We need artists, companies, and corporations, clothing lines, record labels, management companies, lawyers, accountants to make financial contributions for the purpose of carrying out the mission.
3) We need the continuation of CD purchases and other official NuWop Soul Products.
4) We need artists to participate in the next compilation CD a collection of tracks focused on positive ways to succeed in society, make money, and take responsibility for our own developments.
5) We need a tour vehicle (preferably SUV or Van).
Why Do We Need The Nu-Wop Movement?
A recent survey of over 10,000 youth found that the primary influences on youth are Hip-Hop and their peers. In communities across America, youth are dropping out of school in record numbers, are unemployed or stuck in dead-end, low-wage jobs, and feel they have few opportunities available to them. At the same time, traditional methods of engaging youth and connecting them with services and supports are failing because there is a disconnect between the culture of the institutions delivering these services and the popular culture to which young people respond.
Indeed, youth often shun mechanisms that might facilitate their achievement because service programs and adults fail to "keep it right." Instead, then, it seems clear that we must shed our adult-driven service system and create and promote messages and support systems that are driven by the interests, influences, and authentic needs of the inner city youth these mediums are designed to serve.
Nu-Wop culture has that authenticity; it is that driving influence. Nu-Wop can be the bridge to connect the service and cultural divide. Since its inception, Nu-Wop has always been a force for cultural changes in the arenas of music, dress, art and entertainment. Now, it is time to transform Hip-Hop into an instrument for positive youth development. This is where Nu-Wop takes it's responsibility.Why We Must Get Involved?
Many artists, record and fashion companies and global corporations have made substantial gains off the Hip-Hop community. Its time for these beneficiaries to give back to the youth who support their work. The Hip-Hop community can no longer afford to cling to violence and self-hatred. Hip-Hop can and will be one of the most powerful forces to unite youth across ideological, geographical, and even racial boundaries. It is time to step up and show the public that through Nu-Wop, Hip-Hop cares about the youth that are being left behind.
